Bismillah
((Allah)) said: "What prevented thee from bowing down when I commanded thee?" He said: "I am better than he: Thou didst create me from fire, and him from clay."
((Allah)) said: "Get thee down from this: it is not for thee to be arrogant here: get out, for thou art of the meanest (of creatures)." Quran Al-Araf 12/13
'Self-importance withheld him and vice overcame him. So that he took pride in his own creation with fire and treated contemptuously the creation of clay. So Allah allowed him time in order to let him fully deserve His wrath, and to complete (man's) test and to fulfil the promise (He had made to Satan). " Hazrat Ali (a.s) Nahj al-Balaghah Sermon 1
"You should take a lesson from what Allah did with Satan; namely He nullified his great acts and extensive efforts on account of the vanity of one moment, although Satan had worshipped Allah for six thousand years - whether by the reckoning of this world or of the next world is not known. Who now can remain safe from Allah after Satan by committing a similar disobedience? None at all. Allah, the Glorified, cannot let a human being enter Paradise if he does the same thing for which Allah turned out from it an angel. His command for the inhabitants in the sky and of the earth is the same. There is no friendship between Allah and any individual out of His creation so as to give him license for an undesirable thing which He has held unlawful for all the worlds."
Nahj Al-Balaghah sermon 192
How often do you turn into a Satan by thinking you are better than others, no matter what excuse you make for it?...be it the skin color, the race, homeland, language, education, properties, talents, abilities, etc.Which of them could you gain on yourself?which did you choose to have?
The more you have the greater is the burden on your shoulders, the more serious are the responsibilites.
